Piebaldism is different from vitiligo or partial albinism. It an autosomnal genetic disorder, characterised by lack of pigmentation in patches of skin and hair. A common trait is a triangular white forelock. Half of the affected person's children will have the disorder. They have been documented throughout history, often referred to as Leopard or Zebra people.
